What is Sustainable fashion? When thinking about lowering out carbon footprint consumption, the obvious offenders that comes to our mind is petroleum and petroleum products, paper, and plastic, even food but not clothes. Most consumers don’t think of clothing as a source of environmental damage. Yet clothes these days are made with petroleum product through chemically laden process that generate significant pollution. Therefore, the fashion industry is one of the largest organic water polluters in the world as well as accounting for significant greenhouse emission and generation massive amount of waste as result of frequent discarding of used clothing. The seriousness an urgency of the social and environmental issues facing the fashion industry is alarming. . (Anguelov N., 2021)
there fore we can say that sustainability in fashion is based on the 3P’S, which are “the planet, people, and profit”. It is important to have balance between these three P’S as they affect one another. (line C., 2020)
